On Wednesday, 5 August 2015, in the evening at 22:30, in Kaunas, on Šauklių street near No. 26A, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Brava and an Opel Zafira. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Fiat (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
