On Saturday, 8 August 2015, in the evening at 20:20, in Šilalės district municipality, on D. Poškos street, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Zafira and a Mazda 626. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Opel (6 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.79‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
