On Saturday, 8 August 2015, in the evening at 22:50, in Birštono municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 83), a rollover on the carriageway occurred. The accident involved a Qingqi SC 125-S. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Qingqi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.04‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
