On Monday, 6 July 2015, in the evening at 22:30, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr. near No. 47, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Yamaha FZR 1000 and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Yamaha, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
