On Wednesday, 26 August 2015, in the evening at 18:30, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Stragnų II village, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 209), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V70 and an Opel Zafira. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Volvo (9 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
