On Sunday, 27 September 2015, in the evening at 20:10, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Valkininkų g s –Daugai–Alytus national road (kilometre 24.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Citroen C3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Audi (29 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction and failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
