On Sunday, 29 October 2017, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Valkininkų g s –Daugai–Alytus national road (kilometre 25), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Setra S 315 and a Ford Mondeo. One person was injured — a 72-year-old passenger of the Ford (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Setra (40 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
