On Saturday, 3 October 2015, at night at 3:40, in Panevėžys, on Respublikos street, at the junction with Klaipėdos street, a Renault Clio hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Renault (7 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene.
