On Saturday, 14 November 2015, in the evening at 20:06, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Žemaitijos street, at the junction with Sedos street, a Volkswagen Touareg hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (19 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
