On Monday, 16 November 2015, in the evening at 18:49, in Vilnius, on Geležinkelio street near No. 16, a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Skoda 14 TR 02. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who committed other traffic rule violations, failed to give way when changing direction and failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (2.45‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
