On Wednesday, 2 December 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Panerių street, at the junction with Varnių street, a Citroen Xantia hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 27-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Citroen (18 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
