On Saturday, 5 December 2015, in the evening at 19:01, in Kaunas, on M. Riomerio street near No. 2, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Suzuki Grand Vitara XL-7 and an Opel Insignia Limousine NB. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Suzuki, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.15‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
