On Sunday, 13 December 2015, in the afternoon at 11:05, in Šiauliai, on Varpo street near No. 22, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Toyota Yaris hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 90-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 68-year-old driver of the Toyota (37 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
