On Monday, 14 December 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Šiauliai, on Žemaitės street, at the junction with P. Cvirkos street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (1 year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
