On Friday, 5 January 2024, in the evening at around 22:00, in Šiauliai, on Žemaitės street, at the junction with Algirdo Juliaus Greimo street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Volvo and a BMW 118D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Volvo (15 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. Both drivers were sober.
