On Friday, 18 December 2015, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 57.19), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a car and a Volkswagen Sharan registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of a car, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.17‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
