On Sunday, 20 December 2015, in the evening at around 21:00, in Klaipėda, on Sausio 15-osios street, at the junction with Taikos pr., a Mercedes-Benz O 405 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 77-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
