On Tuesday, 22 December 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Panevėžys, on Klaipėdos street, at the junction with Nemuno street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Qashqai and a Volkswagen Passat Variant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Nissan (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
