On Wednesday, 23 December 2015, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr. near No. 362, a Toyota Yaris hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Toyota (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, there was freezing rain, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
