On Saturday, 26 December 2015, at night at around 2:00, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Lyda main road (kilometre 32.52), a Volkswagen Passat Variant hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
