On Tuesday, 29 December 2015, at night at around 23:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Žagatpurvių village, on the Kvėdarna–Švėkšna–Saugos national road (kilometre 33), an Audi 80 hit an obstacle. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Audi (18 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed.
