On Monday, 4 January 2016, in the afternoon at 16:35, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr. near No. 231, an Audi A6 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Audi (19 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.03‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
