On Saturday, 9 January 2016, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Lakūnų pl., at the junction with Skudučių street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Zafira and a Mitsubishi Carisma. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Opel (16 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
