On Monday, 18 January 2016, in the afternoon at 13:33, in Skuodo district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Vaižganto street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Carisma, a Volkswagen Sharan and a Volkswagen Golf Plus. Four people were injured — the 81-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized), the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Sharan (hospitalized), a 59-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized) and a 81-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 81-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (45 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober.
