On Saturday, 30 January 2016, in the afternoon at 15:34, in Šiauliai, on Trakų street, at the junction with S. Šalkauskio street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C4 Picasso and a Mazda 6. Two people were injured — a 42-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 11-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Citroen (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
