On Thursday, 4 February 2016, in the evening at 17:35, in Vilnius, on P. Lukšio street, at the junction with Verkių street, a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (14 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
