On Friday, 12 February 2016, in the evening at 17:30, in Alytaus district municipality, Takniškių village, on Takniškių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda, an Audi A6 and an Opel Astra-G-Caravan. One person was injured — the 63-year-old driver of the Opel (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Mazda (20 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules and failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober.
