On Thursday, 18 February 2016, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Šarkuvos street near No. 1, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Scania R 114 L, a Toyota Avensis and a Krone SD. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Scania (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
