On Monday, 8 March 2021, in the evening at 18:15, in Kaunas, on Šarkuvos street near No. 23, an Audi A8 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 60-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. She was drunk (1.50‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was snowing, it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
