On Sunday, 28 February 2016, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl., at the junction with Panerių street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW 320D and a Volvo XC60. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
