On Wednesday, 2 March 2016, in the evening at 21:03, in Jonavos district municipality, on Kosmonautų street near No. 17, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Honda Civic and a Volkswagen Passat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Honda, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
