On Friday, 11 March 2016, in the morning at 5:26, in Šilalės district municipality, Misaičių village, on the Kryžkalnis–Rietavas–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 22.95), a BMW 316 rolled over. Two people were injured — the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 20-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.96‰ blood alcohol). A 20-year-old passenger of the BMW was drunk (0.95‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
