On Friday, 11 March 2016, in the evening at 20:40, in Kaunas, on Baltijos street near No. 5A, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Rover 420 and a Volkswagen Golf. One person was injured — the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Rover (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
