On Friday, 18 March 2016, in the evening at 22:20, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės pr., at the junction with S. Žukausko street, a BMW 318 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.71‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
