On Saturday, 19 March 2016, in the morning at around 10:00, in Vilnius, on Gariūnų street, at the junction with Dubliškių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Omega, a Skoda Octavia, an Audi A3, a Volkswagen Passat CC and a BMW 530 D. One person was injured — a 65-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Opel (23 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
