On Friday, 28 May 2021, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Vilnius, on Maksimiškių street, at the junction with Titnago street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel and a Volkswagen Caddy. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Opel (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.24‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
