On Thursday, 14 April 2016, in the evening at 22:40, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 23.20), a Ford Transit FT 100 registered in Latvia hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Ford (32 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober.
