On Friday, 22 April 2016, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kaunas, on Verkių street near No. 6, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Hyundai Matrix registered in Luxembourg and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry.
