On Saturday, 23 April 2016, in the afternoon at 15:23, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Šiaulių aplinkkelis main road (kilometre 2), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FM, a Kumlin ATU3-30 and a Volkswagen Polo. One person died — a 56-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (later died from the injuries). One person was injured — the 53-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient).
