On Sunday, 24 April 2016, in the evening at 18:53, in Klaipėda, on Prano Lideikio street, at the junction with H. Manto street, a Mercedes-Benz GL450 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (26 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (3.07‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
