On Thursday, 19 May 2016, in the evening at around 19:00, in Klaipėda, on Kretingos street, at the junction with Panevėžio street, a Dodge Grand Caravan hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 66-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Dodge (21 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
