On Sunday, 27 November 2016, in the evening at 17:30, in Klaipėda, on Kretingos street, at the junction with Panevėžio street, an Opel Vectra hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 73-year-old driver of the Opel (29 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
