On Friday, 20 May 2016, in the evening at 17:38, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Raseiniai–Baisogala national road (kilometre 25.55), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Probe and a Rover 75. Two people were injured — a 47-year-old passenger of the Rover (treated as an outpatient) and the 52-year-old driver of the Rover (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
