On Tuesday, 24 May 2016, in the afternoon at 13:10, in Kaunas, on K. Donelaičio street, at the junction with Maironio street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C4 Picasso, a Ford Focus and a Lexus CT200H. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Citroen (20 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. All drivers were sober. The 18-year-old driver of the Ford had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
