On Saturday, 11 June 2016, in the afternoon at 13:21, in Panevėžys, on Klaipėdos street, at the junction with Ramygalos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda Xedos 6 and an Audi 80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
