On Monday, 4 July 2016, in the afternoon at 16:05, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 55.85), a BMW 730 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the BMW (26 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
