On Saturday, 9 July 2016, in the afternoon at 13:43, in Vilnius, on Avietyno street near No. 20, a Mitsubishi Carisma ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.16‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
