On Thursday, 14 July 2016, in the evening at 20:30, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 102.20), a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the DAF (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
