On Monday, 18 July 2016, in the afternoon at 16:20, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Jonava–Kėdainiai–Šeduva national road (kilometre 23.64), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Skoda Felicia and a Volkswagen Polo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Skoda, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
