On Monday, 15 August 2016, in the afternoon at 15:45, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Naujoji Vilnia–Rudamina–Paneriai national road, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Piaggio TEC 80 and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Piaggio, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.15‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
